Rooted In Science. Guided By Nature.
Eva Evans
DVM, MBA, CVMA
Dr. Eva Evans built Alitura Veterinary Care on the belief that pets deserve more—more precision, more personalization, and more possibilities. With years of experience in emergency care, surgery, and integrative medicine, she has created a practice where cutting-edge science meets whole-health wisdom.
Experience & Expertise
Dr. Evans earned her DVM from the University of Tennessee in 2012 and later completed her MBA at the University of Maryland, blending clinical expertise with business insight. Her diverse background includes private practice, emergency medicine, and integrative therapies. She has served in leadership roles with the AVMA and AVMF, including Chairwoman of the AVMA PAC Board (2013–2019), and remains active in advancing veterinary medicine and mentoring future professionals.
A Vision for Whole Health Veterinary Care
Before launching Alitura Veterinary Care, Dr. Evans founded a boutique-style veterinary practice that emphasized technology-driven, high-quality care in an urban setting. That experience introduced her to integrative veterinary medicine, blending the best of Western science and holistic therapies to offer a customized, results-driven approach to pet health.
Alitura Veterinary Care is the next evolution of her original vision to bring the best standard of care for pets by combining excellent service, top tier medical knowledge, and the lesser known ancient holistic wisdoms derived from thousands of years of world-wide cultures studying how food, herbal medicines, acupuncture, exercise and environmental changes can all improve your pet’s health.
Passions & Personal Life
Lauren
Veterinary Nurse
Lauren is in the homestretch of earning her AAS in Biology, with plans to transfer to MTSU for a bachelor’s in Animal Science and, eventually, pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian.
Her love for animals runs deep—she grew up surrounded by horses, dogs, cats, hamsters, and pretty much every pet imaginable in her small mountain town of Evergreen, Colorado. At 15, her family relocated to New Hampshire, where Lauren’s passion for animals evolved into a career. She started as a doggy daycare attendant and bather, and by 18, she was working as a pet care attendant at a veterinary hospital. It was there she discovered her true calling in veterinary medicine, particularly in emergency care, where she’s had the chance to work with animals of all shapes and sizes. Now, Lauren lives in Nashville with her lovable lab, Tag. When she’s not buried in textbooks or at work, she’s either sketching at home or exploring one of the city’s scenic trails.
Expect More. Your Pet Deserves It.
This is not just veterinary medicine. This is the future of pet health.
